Imagine getting in your car and driving minutes away to get the medical care you need. That is now a reality for the Perrysburg community! Mercy Health has expanded services for patients in Perrysburg and the surrounding communities as part of the organization’s commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate health care close to home with the opening of the Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital.

Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital opens its doors with a comprehensive care center

The $63 million facility was designed with you, the patient, at the center of every decision. The center offers state-of-the-art surgical suites, medical offices for primary care physicians and specialists, 46 inpatient beds along with 24/7 emergency services, comprehensive cancer care, imaging, lab, and pharmacy services. Large private rooms with an abundance of natural light aid in patient healing. An onsite chapel and meditation space gives friends and family a place to go for moments of peace and prayer. All of these services offer convenient access to care under one roof instead of a traditional hospital setting.

“Mercy Health’s mission of extending our healing ministry to improve the health and well-being of our patients compels us to respond to the needs of our community,” said Bob Baxter, president, Mercy Health – Toledo and Lima. “We are committed to meeting patients and families where they live and work by making it easy to access convenient, comprehensive health care services, in efficient, flexible facilities designed around patient care.”

Physicians can expand their practices to the Perrysburg area with the opening of the new facility.

Mercy Health – Perrysburg Hospital has been highly anticipated by area physicians seeking to expand their practices in the area.  Now they can offer the services their patients need. The complement of inpatient, emergency, surgery, cancer and diagnostic services provides physicians and patients access to services when it is needed most.

“Mercy Health opened its doors in the Perrysburg community with the goal of making access easier for those who needed immediate medical care,” said Dr. Chris Goliver, medical director of Mercy Health – Perrysburg Emergency Services. “With the subsequent opening of the cancer center and now the complete hospital, Mercy Health has solidified its commitment to this community for this generation and generations to come.” The medical team at Mercy Health’s Perrysburg emergency department has consistently been awarded patient satisfaction scores in the top one percent of the country demonstrating our commitment to caring for our patients.

Please join us for an open house of the new facility located at 12623 Eckel Junction Road, Perrysburg, Ohio, on Tuesday, May 7 from 5:30 PM-8:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
