This easy salad recipe is anything but boring.

Vitamin C, folate, potassium and fiber — these are just a few of the vitamins and minerals that strawberries offer. Although we’re big fans of this nutrient-dense fruit, we often have difficulty incorporating it into lunch and dinner. Enter this easy salad recipe. With just four ingredients, there’s no excuse to opt for takeout.

Four Ingredients Salad Recipe:

  • Spinach
  • Strawberry slices
  • Slivered almonds
  • Balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing

First, place a few handfuls of spinach on your plate. Then top the spinach with strawberry slices and slivered almonds. Finally, add a drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette — and ta da! This easy salad recipe is finished in minutes.

In addition to the strawberry’s health benefits, the spinach provides a healthy dose of vitamins K and A, manganese, folate and magnesium. Meanwhile, the almonds contain protein, fiber, Vitamin E and more magnesium.

This power-packed meal will keep you energized for hours to come. It’s also a great low-calorie option for watching weight. However, you don’t have to make this recipe exactly as listed. Take the opportunity to get creative!

Swap the strawberries out for blueberries, apples, or any of your other favorite fruits. In addition, you can replace the almonds with pecans or walnuts. Finally, try adding avocado for a dose of healthy fat or grilled chicken for extra protein.
