Mercy Health – Bitar Medical Center opens its doors in Lorain County

“I have a great admiration for the nursing staff and the medical staff which I believe is the most excellent staff in our county,” said Dr. J.C. Bitar. Dr. Bitar practiced medicine for many years as an influential obstetrician and gynecologist in Lorain County. He dedicates his life to providing high quality, compassionate healthcare to women across the region. In addition to this commitment of improving the health of hundreds of women, the influence of Dr. Bitar, his wife, Sandra, and his whole family has expanded through philanthropy to bring a new medical space with expanded services under one roof to Lorain and Amherst County. “On behalf of my family, we are grateful, honored and humbled to name this medical facility the Bitar Medical Center,” said Dr. Bitar.

It is due to this commitment and generous donation that the Bitar Medical Center became a reality. “The Bitar Family have been true partners for our health system and foundation.” said Scott Pember, president of Mercy Health Foundation Lorain. “With financial support from families, like the Bitars, the Foundation is able to provide innovative solutions to build healthier communities and make health care more accessible.”

The Mercy Health – Bitar Medical Center offers convenient comprehensive health services
