Welcoming McLaren St. Luke’s Providers to Our Ministry

In the face of change, our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional health care remains anchored in our legacy of more than 165 years of service to the community. We understand that recent months have been challenging as we bid farewell to McLaren St. Luke’s, a trusted health care partner. The closure of St. Luke’s has undoubtedly left an impact on our community, and we want to acknowledge the significance of this transition.

While change can be unsettling, it also presents an opportunity for growth and renewal. We are happy to welcome 23 providers from the WellCare Physicians Group, who were previously part of McLaren St. Luke’s. Their decision to join us demonstrates their trust in our ministry’s ability to carry forward the torch of compassionate, high-quality care that our community deserves.

The transition of these providers to Mercy Health, effective June 1, allows us to maintain vital health care services in our area. We recognize the importance of preserving trusted relationships between patients and their health care providers, which is why each practice will continue serving patients at their current locations. Rest assured, that while there may be new names for the practices, the same commitment to exceptional care will remain.

In addition to welcoming these exceptional providers, we are pleased to announce that the transfer of sponsorship for the McLaren St. Luke’s residency program, now known as Mercy Health — St. Vincent Graduate Medical Education, has received full approval from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). This approval ensures that the tradition of nurturing future health care leaders will continue, further solidifying our commitment to building a robust medical field within our community.
