UPDATE FROM THE HEART MINI: We’ve made the decision not to host our Heart Mini downtown on March 22. The safety and health of our participants is our top concern and we feel this is not the right time for a large gathering. Join us virtually, Details to come.

Every year, more than 30,000 people participate in the city’s largest single-day fundraiser, the American Heart Association’s Heart Mini. The Heart Mini is a local favorite that brings people and businesses from all backgrounds together for a single mission: exercising as a community to raise life-saving funds to fight heart disease and stroke.

As advocates for holistic wellness, Mercy Health is proud to be a presenting sponsor of the 43rd Heart Mini, which takes place in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, March 22, 2020.

This weekend-long celebration hosts events for people of all ages and abilities. They include a half marathon, 15K race, 5K race, 5K heart walk, 2K children’s run, 1K Steps for Stroke and the Kid’s Fun Run. All donations go toward cardiac research, education, and prevention.

Don’t forget to stop by the Mercy Health Be Well Zone at the Heart Mini Health & Fitness Expo. We’ll be providing complimentary blood pressure readings, BMI checks, and light jogs on the AlterG®Anti-Gravity Treadmill®. The expo takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the Duke Energy Convention Center, located at 525 Elm Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.

More than $3.133 million of the $3.685 million donation goal for this year has already been achieved. However, you can still help. Support our community’s cause by participating in an event or donating to an individual or team. For registration and race information visit the Heart Mini website.

Mercy Health continually sponsors the Heart Mini because we believe in fostering healthy communities. What’s your reason for participating this year? Share your thoughts with us in the comment section below!
