On Tuesday, Mercy Health – St. Rita’s Medical Center’s celebrated its 100th year of serving our Lima, #Ohio and surrounding communities!

The height of the celebration was a mass with Bishop Daniel Thomas who reminded us that we are a ministry of comfort and care and that our Mission will continue to live on. Special guests of the night were the Sisters of Mercy, who opened our doors 100 years ago to help the poor and sick. As a special gift, we presented a live Christmas tree to be planted at Our Lady of the Pines, where the sisters live. On it were ornaments with messages of gratitude for our founding sisters.

It is an honor and we are proud to have served our patients for 100 years and look forward to continuing providing #compassion and heartfelt care for years to come.

The holidays are here, and we enjoyed celebrating our annual 2018 Mercy Health - St. Rita's Holiday Street Fair with our Lima community. Santa Claus and his reindeer made a special appearance, and visited with children and their families. Families also enjoyed a day of fun, music, food, crafts and prizes, as well as the annual tree lighting.
