The uncertainty brought on by COVID-19 this year has left many of us feeling stressed and anxious. Mental health and physical health go hand in hand, especially right now. That is why two of our behavioral health pros have teamed up to host a video series about coping with your mental health during this pandemic.

Dr. Carson Felkel, system medical director, behavioral health, and Dr. Aimee Drescher, a clinical psychologist in the Toledo market, began their discussion on mental health during this year’s back-to-school season. For many of us, we are not in our normal routines right now due to COVID-19. In their first video, both Dr. Felkel and Dr. Drescher gave tips on how to add more self-care habits to your day to help reduce overall stress levels.

The series’ second video expands on the topic of back-to-school stress. Dr. Felkel and Dr. Drescher discuss the importance of managing mental health and resiliency during this pandemic, especially as kids return to school or virtual learning at home. They also provide tips on how adults can help manage the challenges their families are facing by creating an environment at home that supports their children.
